at uwc, i had a muslim friend from Sierra Leone. When i told him i was taking malay as a subject for the diploma. He has excitedly surprised, he said he wanted to take Malay but took French instead as he has studied it in his home country. He says he wants to know how to speak Malay because he looks up to Malaysia. I asked him about Malaysia being an admired Islamic country among the islamic countries. He said that was true. And he is excited about our boarding house's(he is a boarder too) trip to Pulau Besar.

how? special identity (head of non-allience-movement,NAM; representitive of third world countries/south south countries; Organization of Islamic Countries, OIC [not 'oh, I see!' ],etc.),built special buildings(petronas twin towers, tallest twin towers in the world; tallest airport control tower in the world at Kuala Lumpur International Airport,KLIA; Sepang F1 circuit, Formula One International Agency Car Racing,[similar to US car racing]; Port Klang,one of the busiest port in the world; Penang Bridge[4th longest]; Merdeka Square Flag Pole, tallest concrete flag pole in the world,etc.),special activities(a trip to Mountain Everest, 8848m; 2 man made orbital telecommnication satellites; first one man boat sailing across the world; first man swim across the English Channel; XVI Commonwealth Games, 1998, at Kuala Lumpur; won Thomas Cup [badminton]for few times; tried hard to get a place in FIFA world cup; led in ASEAN[Agency of South East Asian Nations];reject the financial planning and bond from IMF[international monetary fund];etc.)
these make Malaysia famous.
only the discrimination towards chinese, ethnic and indian races makes us dislike the government.
